We have many young families in the church! The vitality
of our church today rests in these families. During the normal school
year there is a regular program of "Godly Play" and of arts and music
for the children as well as Christian formation and other activities
that support young families.
Our youth group is led by Joshua Shawnee with assistance from
numerous lay leaders. Knowing that kids are "do-ers" and not hearers
only, the youth group has a schedule of special weekends of fun and
fellowship -- lock-ins, Branson, skiing, and outreach including Habitat
projects. These are ways to enhance their bonding and evidence of their
value to one another and to the community.
We are a traditional Episcopal community. Our church physical
structure shouts this out! We observe Rite I at our regular early
service and Rite II at our later service. While grounded in
tradition, we build upon tradition to be a force for God's presence in
a 21st century world.
We believe in ourselves as a caring fellowship, within our parish and beyond our doors.
And, we absolutely celebrate life!
